GOOD TO KNOW

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a DSLR or telephoto lens to join?
No. While a DSLR or mirrorless camera paired with a telephoto lens is commonly used for sports photography, it is not a requirement for this workshop. The techniques and principles covered can be applied regardless of the equipment you use. Participants with entry-level cameras or other setups will still gain valuable insights into capturing and editing sports imagery.
Is Lightroom required, or does it work with other editors?
Adobe Lightroom is recommended, as it will be the primary software used during the editing demonstrations. However, the workflow and editing principles discussed are applicable across a range of photo editing applications. If you use software such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, ON1 Photo RAW, DxO PhotoLab, or similar programs, you will still be able to follow along and apply the concepts effectively.
Is this only for football photography?
No. While football photography serves as the primary focus and teaching medium, the techniques covered—including camera settings, autofocus, composition, timing, storytelling, and post-processing—are transferable to a wide variety of sports and action photography disciplines.
Will there be a recording if I miss it?
No. To maintain the live and interactive nature of the workshop, a recording will not be provided. However, all registered participants will receive the presentation PDF and any supporting workshop materials after the session for future reference.
